according to this AMA survey as of June 11th, so probably 97-98% by now (the results indicated that 45% of unvaccinated MDs intended to get vaccinated).

Just throwing that out there as I have heard the "If it is so safe, why aren't health care professionals taking it?". Which is valid...but "health care professionals" covers a broad range of people. Medical Doctors...generally very bright, well-educated and informed people...almost universally embraced vaccination.

responsible for the lower-than-hoped vaccination rates, on the basis that:
1) It's his watch.
2) The general response to right-wingers who choose not to get vaccinated is to mock and belittle them...which as we all know, is a time-tested way to get people to change their minds.
3) The demographics mainly avoiding vaccination are the ones that voted for him. Black Americans, Hispanic Americans, Young Americans. Old people are getting vaccinated at a high rate.

democrats are 93% vaccinated
republicans are 49% vaccinated
whites are 48% vaccinated
blacks are 36% vaccinated
hispanics are 41% vaccinated
asians are 65% vaccinated
49% of the US population is vaccinated
There's no way that 93% of democrats are vaccinated given the other numbers.
Unless those other numbers that I found are wrong... but they seemed to come from reputable sources.
Who knows.

r*dnecks, but if you look at percentage vaccinated by race, whites are vaccinated at higher rates than blacks, across the board.
I find it interesting that someone like you, who comes across as insufferably PC and proper would throw around a slur like "r*dneck". Would you use "w*tback" or "n*gger" or any other slur so carelessly on here?

Will you stop with your statements of physicians always looking over their shoulder in fear of having their medical license revoked. Trust me, I've known a handful of docs that deserved to have their privileges pulled from their hospital and for the State Board to pull their license. Both are exceedingly rare events and usually have to do with substance usage or inappropriate sexual behavior.
It is probably more difficult than it should be to sanction a physician. Hospitals and the State Board have to deal with attorneys who aggressively represent doctors who probably should be shut down permanently. Ain't no doc afraid of getting shyat canned over the vaccine nor is this the motivation in the least for taking it. A physician has to be a major screw up to lose his or her license.
