Here’s a livestream of the reaction, seems like most of these derelicts are pretty satisfied.

I disagree. I don't think we can say "no" just because we

don't get the verdict we want or expect. A trial was held. He was fairly and adequately represented in a court if law and judged by a jury. I'm sure he will appeal but this was our system at work.

To be completely fair...

...and I get what you're saying...

...but if OJ had been caught on video stabbing his victims in plain view and in public, he wouldn't have gotten off either.

I completely agree

But I do love how the system works

Got money and clout? You can buy your way out

That documentary did a good job of showing how bad the prosecution did in that case.

Unless you watched the whole trial and understand something about law, not sure you can have a valid opinion. "Causation" seemed to be a big deal/question.

You wonder if jurors could not deal with their own guilt of watching their city burn down if he was found not guilty...

Will there still be riots?

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

For a change.

Apr 20, 2021, 5:18 PM

I guess all it takes is destroying a few cities and dominating the news cycle for 6 months to hold law enforcement accountable for murdering an unarmed citizen.

Pretty cool deal!

I hope the "rioters" will take note the next time a cop executes someone.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Today is just a small victory.

Apr 20, 2021, 5:23 PM

Next is ending the war on drugs, and the only way to do this is MORE PROTESTS and RIOTING. This shit obviously works, so I see no reason to stop now.

Yes - violence is the answer

Apr 20, 2021, 5:33 PM

unfortunately, it has always been the most expedient way to get things done. And going all the way back to labor rights and civil rights, both were violent movements that ultimately lead to concessions from the powers that be.

The issue at hand is those that are in power, want to stay in power, and any sort of change is a threat to that, regardless of the moral implications either way.

Maybe they can burn down a few abortion clinics - you know righteous anger and what not. By the way I thought the verdict was fine. I just don't like the idea of people threatening the courts with violence if the verdict does not go their way.

I still think Maxine violated her oath of office. She needs a seat at the kids' table with Marjorie Green over that, IMHO, with her Committee assignments taken away.

I am tired of the bomb-throwing invective from extremists. On both sides. Both caucuses need to do a better job of reigning in their miscreants.

If your oath to "uphold the laws and Constitution of the United States of America" means "only when I feel like it and I agree", then what's the point?

Violence is only useful when subjugating the queers and Mexicans, and when killing foreigners on their own soil.

i miss when you could drag a queer around by his nutsackwwith your F250 and leave his mangled body on his mother's doorstep, but those dang cell phone cameras make it impossible these days.

the second highest is a lesser included offense. Don't think they can tack on any more time for that.

But the Manslaughter charge is separate I think, so he can do time for that one in addition to the primary murder charge.
