For those unhappy with OC and/or DC, do you believe

their lack of FBS coordinating experience and internal hires shortens your patience with them?

Clemson shouldn’t be a training ground for coordinators***

Except Chad Morris…

or Jeff Scott, or Tony Elliott. Those are ok.

Chad Morris was OC at Tulsa before he came to Clemson***

Yep…

For one year. He was a high school coach the year before that. Streeeter was an OC for 5 years prior to coming to Clemson, working at Liberty and Richmond.

I’m not defending the job Streeter has done this season, just pointing out how arbitrary some of these prior experience requirements people are throwing around are.

Don't think so, I we hired coordinators with great resume's and they called these plays, especially on offense, we would all be screaming worse than now. These are not "learn on the fly" jobs.

I was never ok with the Streeter hire/promotion

Was a mediocre QB coach at best, hidden by generational talent. Never saw much progression with DW4 or TLaw. Good thing they were both outstanding to begin with. Bryant even degressed from 2017 to 2018.

So why does anyone think he would be a great OC? Because he was an OC at a FCS school for a couple of years?

Plus the offense was failing. Why promote from within from a failing offense?

When Elliot and Scott took over, the offense was running smoothly under Morris and he taught them well. They ended up being better than Morris.

But I don't think that's the case with Streeter. I knew that was going to be a disaster when it was announced last December.

Are you going to provide stats to back up your claims?

Nov 29, 2022, 5:09 AM

You seem to struggle doing that. This is the second time I’ve asked.

It does for me. There is no record of previous success to point to for the expectation of success in the future. Oklahoma has not played well defensively this year. Does anyone think that is going to continue?
