Sports Illustrated confirms: Clemson is 'WRU'

Sports Illustrated has put together a formula to determine the 'U' for each position at the FBS level. Many teams are putting a claim on 'Wide Receiver U' but S Read Update »

Yep, Clemson had fine WR’ers in Natty but banged up, plus TL was off his game a lot.

Still..being a true sportsman I’ve gotta give JoeB, his WR’ers, LSU Team & Coaches their due for a prolific game & win.

Sure, hurts but Clemson got it done year earlier vs Bama in huge 28 point win..and it’s difficult to be up 110% for every challenge.

I totally believe that the Natty game against LSU went and ended in the way that it did, was bc of our defense being ineffective strictly bc of losing so many talented/elite Juniors and seniors to the NFL, with a few juniors choosing the NFL over coming back and competing in their senior season, and with one of the best DTs in the country ( Dexter Lawrence) leaving bc of the hose job by the NCAA bogus urine drug test. It was a situation that was good for them, but it was a devastating loss for our team to recover from in just one off season.

The loss of basically the entire starting front 7 at the end of the 2018 season, our patch work 2019 defense gave up 9 minutes and 30 seconds of playing time, and that was a full 3/4 of a quarter of FB over the 4 quarters of playing time. The loss of our entire defensive front 7, and the loss of elite talent from our secondary, Burrows was allowed to throw the ball around basically unmolested through 4 quarters of FB to the tune of 5 TDs. Yes, LSU soundly beat our butt in the Natty game, and they should have, but, I do not believe the 2019 LSU team could have beat our 2018 Natty winning team, and I would love to see another Clemson/LSU matchup at the end of this coming season if our country can get past this COVID19 virus....
