Mickey Plyler's Blog: Syracuse Review

Syracuse Review

Syracuse Review
There was a lot of talk about Syracuse coming into its first game in the Atlantic Coast Conference.

There was a lot of talk about the Carrier Dome's humidity.

There was talk last week about Syracuse staying in the game against Clemson by feeding off of the crowd no

Nice review. I'd only add that these Tigers are focused and all about the business of executing Dabo's plans and taking care of business! Go tigers!!!!!

I agree, Mickey, with your assessment; however, I would like to point out that the crowd noise was less about exuberant fans cheering for their team than it was about a building with HORRIBLE accoustics and a disengaged crowd talking amongst themselves about other things. (in that building there is a constant din of random noise) I was seated among Syracuse 'fans' who spent the entire game rooting for Clemson. Odd bunch of folks, for sure, but most admitted that the only reason they came was because they were curious what all the hype over Southern football was about. By the end of the game, I suspect their curiosity had been satisfied!

You idea of dominating and my idea of dominating are

TOTALLY different.

"I feel great about the defense that dominated throughout the game."

Syracuse gained 323 yds on the ground. That is NOT dominating...not by a long shot.

When the crisis arises the time for preparedness has passed.

Would you feel better if they had 300 yards passing and 74 yards rushing? Because 74 is the number of passing yards given up.

This isn't 3 yards and a cloud of dust football. They also had 18 possessions on offense and are a rushing team. Of course they will have higher numbers rushing. Some of you guys just regurgitate the same clueless nonsense over and over. They had 18 possessions on offense. Hello?
