I graduated from Clemson 31 years ago. I had a degree from the only school I ever considered attending, and a job lined up. In that 31 years, I have worked every single day, and have probably earned somewhere in the $2-2.5 million range. And I will likely be working another 15 years or more to get my kids educated and settled and to have the funds to comfortably retire.

I guess we could time adjust my life earnings above to about half, but if you had offered me $1-1.25 million back in 1986 to go to just about any school (just about means not SCAR), I would have taken it in a second. Also, if you had offered me that to transfer after my freshman year, same deal.

If an average starting salary for a college graduate is $50k, some of these NIL deals are offering 20+ years of earnings in a single year, without the requirement of a college degree. Can't blame the kids.

100% agree with this. Can be mad at the system all you want, can't really be mad at the kids. Get it while the gettin's good.

I got layed off after 19 years with the some company. Don't be loyal take the money, use the system. Don't let system use you.

You can not like it, but still embrace it. It's not like it's a sin or something. It's a change, and not a good change.

But if you don't embrace it, then you're just gonna slowly become irrelevant.
