done a great Lamecock imitation, crowing instead of barking, about their victory over us this year. And, they did win, congrats to them. Butt, the sad thing is, in this strange year, more than any other in recent times, had we gotten normal Clemson QB play, that loss, if in fact it would still have BEEN a loss, would not have hurt us whatsoever in the final analysis. A 7 point loss to the team that was consensus #1 for a lot of the season would have been the best "quality" loss anyone had.

A 12-1 ACC Champion Clemson would have CRUISED into the playoffs with everything else that transpired. I think that is why most on here are so distressed. We pretty much wasted Brent Venables final season as DC, even though that season produced one of his best defensive teams, probably only 2nd to the Power Rangers last ride.

We have one more game to play, but then, for all intents and purposes, we have a near total reset coming. There will most likely be new "head men" on both sides of the ball coaching wise. New systems to learn, new talent evaluations to make. New, but hopefully not different from the last several years prior to this one. As long as Clemson gets back to living Dabo's mantra, "Best is the Standard, we will be chasing more Playoff Gold very soon. We just have to get a little Cheezy first.
