and in my desire to stay consistent, I would have lost my mind had our previous President said the same thing. One of those "caught up in the moment" moments for this President.
On the other side, I've never seen reporters blatantly trying to argue with the President of the United States in the White House press room. It's embarrassing. I don't play team politics on here, and I'll call either side to the carpet when I believe they are wrong.
In this case, the President wasn't attacking the press, he was simply using their very own words to show their bias, and he can certainly use the bully pulpit to defend himself, every President has.
On the other hand, he should definitely walk back the "When somebody is the President of the United States, the authority is total." comment, because that's just asinine.

Many citizens follow the media into the irrelevancy hole because they think politicians are supposed to be all about words. This is not a politician and he does not apologize for that.
Trump is all about Doing, not Talking. Most times he says what he means within 15 seconds and then circumelocutes until someone interrupts him. It's inherently disrespectful to him, but he has created a little bit of this monster by not shutting up after he's made his point.
Of course, the arrogance of the gotcha press is what turns the monster bad.
Remember, Bob Woodward established a lifelong liberal legacy by bringing down Nixon, so every one of these intellectual idiots hopes he can become the next Woodward. Even Jake Tapper, who I used to think was reasonable.

I think it's because every time one of the tabloid workers ignores every point Trump makes and tries to get him admit to a mistake instead, another 10,000 Americans wake up. Of course the libs on here will stay comatose to their deaths.

Fauci did more damage to CNN, MSNBC, NYT, WAPO and the rest of the MSM than Trump's video. He plainly and absolutely said that Trump took his advice and acted according to his recommendations. In essence, Fauci called the MSM liars.
I would love to have pictures of their faces when he set the record straight.

Still not. That doesn't mean I can't appreciate what he did. See, I'm not like a few here. I can support Trump and point out what I don't like about him. I can wish Fauci were fired while appreciating the good he does.
Some folks here couldn't and won't admit that Trump has some good policies which have worked well for America. If I didn't point out Fauci's better moments I'd be the same. I don't work for Fox or CNN and I call right, right and good and wrong, wrong and bad.
