Every team circles and highlights us on their schedule

Nov 4, 2017, 8:21 PM

Ever since Clemson surged into the category of elite programs, we have been the team that our opponents circle at the beginning of the season. Now that we are defending National Champions, they aren't just circling us, they are highlighting it and preparing for it all season long. They are practicing a multitude of trick plays, running plays in prior games to throw us off, throwing everything they have at us, and bringing their best A+ game. Fans that haven't been to a game in a while plan a trip around when Clemson comes to town. Players know that NFL scouts will be in the stands, glued to the tv, or receiving game film, and know this is their best chance to get on their radar, too. There is no such thing as a game we should easily win.

Every win is a good win. Doesn't matter if it's pretty or ugly or lucky or fortunate. A win is a win. These coaches are who got us here and hindsight is 20/20 to what plays should have been called or what defense we should be in. The only things that matters is every play that was called, every ball that was caught or dropped, every tackle that was made or missed, was a combination that ended in a win. If our kicker hadn't been struggling, we would not have gone for that fourth down, finding Renfrow for a great play to lead to another TD. If two kickoffs hadn't gone out of bounds, they may have ended up in our endzone 99 yds later. Just like I wouldn't change a thing about my life and the sequence of events that lead to me marrying my wife and having 3 great kids, I wouldn't change a thing about that game that led to another Clemson win (not that they really compare).

FSU is hoping to be bowl eligible after starting the season ranked #3. Tennessee and Florida are seeing their teams implode or turn against each other. Penn St and Ohio St just watched their playoff hopes evaporate. The Gamecocks can't enjoy anything watching our success 100 miles down the road.

In other words, IT IS GREAT TO BE A CLEMSON TIGER!!!
