The season is over. We are running out of chances for wins. At this point we're out of the acc tourny. Think about that... is this seriously a REAL conversation to have about Clemson baseball??

In my mind either we make the postseason or Lee has to go, and I think he understands that.

Our RPI is still low 30’s. They will need to do well in remaining series and win a few in ACC tourney, but the season is not over for sure.

I agree. Saying “the season is over” is ridiculous.

But… you do have to get in the ACC tournament to win a few games in it.

And with this tournament format, “winning a few” means you’re in the championship game.

I don't think we're in a must win situation. We have 3 ACC series after this one. We are one of a few that are lagging behind a series... Hence a lot of teams out of conference or not playing at all. Wake is sliding. We can definitely overtake UNC and Duke, along with BC. In addition, percentage wise, we have a good chance to overtaking wake or ga tech.

Any combo gets us into the acc tournament. Projections show 10 acc teams will get bids. So, imo good shape if we win series, still ok if we lose series but take one. Get swept, work to do.

So no, I don't share your opinion the season is over if we lose. Now, if we don't make the acc tournament, we won't be in a region. If we don't make a regional, then yes, time to move on. Afterall, Lee was hired to make Super regionals but no way Neff fires him if he makes one. It'll be another letter.

You’re right - there are people projecting 10 ACC teams in the tourney. But no conference has ever gotten 10. 9 is the record. And the ACC trails the SEC in RPI and is being projected with 10. I’d take those projections with a grain of salt. Is the NCAA going to give an all time record number of bids to two conferences at the same time?
