nga tiger made a post saying "There are multiple things that I keep saying every time I watch this offense. Get the backs to the edge more with toss sweeps and swing passes out of the backfield. I’ll like our chances with Shipley one on one with a linebacker trying to over him out of the backfield."

I have been saying similar to my Bride who just pretends to hear me.
To my mind comes the game against Oklahoma where Scott doing sweeps took them to the wood shed.
Why can't Shipley or Pace have a a couple plays called where they head to the edge. That requires some "O" line shift and maybe some TE help.
Shipley just lining up in the slot would cause confusion and slow the line backers.

I've seen Shipley drop passes trying longer attempts.

Seems like he's had a short screen out 2 work though

I suspect some of the play calling will evolve with the players maturity we have out there. Our O line needs to block better up front to get right or left. Every time we swing the ball or DJ runs right, the line seems to topple.
