Hanna in the second half.

Two successful TD's on fumbles puts DF up 45-20. And the DF coach is a bulldog.

Is that 5-star DE still in the game? Other than a pick 6 which was a pretty good play but not anything spectacular, he's been kinda quiet.

Dutch Fork coach used to be HC at Independence

High here in Charlotte. He led them to one of the longest consecutive win streaks in the country back in the late 90s- early 2000s. Independence was one of the premier programs in all the United States at time.

He is building same type of program at Dutch Fork. Rumor has always been that he is a 1st class a-hole though.

He was pretty bad when he first arrived but he’s gotten better in recent years. He has put together one heck of a program. I like the sportsmanship the team has shown tonight helping other players up.

Corey does not like DF at all. He is against running up the score. He is still a chicken at heart.

Corey is just crying that Pickens didn’t save the day***

The way he was dressing down his kicker after the DF off-sides penalty during their kickoff just before half was not a good look.

Was a heck of a season floor T.L. Hanna but that offense can't keep up with that fast scoring offense. Great coaching by T.K.

First of many losses in Columbia for Pickens***

Zacch Pickens needs to get prepared to lose by large margins in Billy Brice

DF coach is the best recruiter in high school football. I saw them play this year and no single school district produces that much high level talent without some serious help. Their coach is an excellent x’s and o’s guy but it helps a lot when you stack the deck.

I'm not sure that they have been that much of a pipeline to D1.

It's not like they are IMG Academy. It probably helps to be one of the better school districts in the state too.

That isn't true at all

I've lived here the whole time Knotts has been coach. The guys on his teams have grown up in the district and have been friends with my kids. Most of them play multiple sports as well. There may be the occasional player or two that may move to the area to play for him, but I don't know of any offhand. I could definitely name players for other schools that have done that. As the announcers said Fri. night, there have never been in any 4 or 5 star recruits coming off this team. Matt Colburn and Bryce Thompson were probably the 2 best that I can remember and I believe they were both 3 stars. Jalin Hyatt is probably the top recruit that I know of this year and is another 3 star. Knotts has just put together a great program that starts with development leagues for the younger players and continues up through the C, B and JV teams. He also has a great team of assistant coaches. They have great facilities and a lot of fans, and Knotts has created the expectation of winning there where it didn't used to always exist.
