You say that but a lot of top young coaches would be interested. Neff did the right thing by giving Brad the money to go hire a current DIV 1 HC as his new associate coach. A lot of coaches will look that as an AD who cares about basketball.
Don't be surprised if Earl Grant has a really good season and becomes a candidate next season. BC spends less on basketball than Clemson does, and Grant has always been a big Clemson fan.
Also like Mike Linder at Wyoming and formerly at Northern Colorado.

why would a coach whose well established and has job security in a prominent program in the Big 10 want to deal with the stress of knowing if he didn’t perform well every other August in France, his new fan base would be ready to run him off

Living in upstate SC and getting to go to Clemson football games is every basketball coach’s dream, isn’t it?

Brad (aka Judge Keller) you are a millionaire and live in a great place with a great job so dont be petty. Do a better job of making basketball fanatic worthy for the Clemson fanbase. Oh yeah After France be sure to enjoy Football season at Clemson

Clemson fans have shown that they will pack Littlejohn when the excitement is there. I want Clemson basketball to be successful. Hopefully Brad has told Neff exactly what he needs and that those items have been addressed. I also expect to see Brad more engaged and out among the students to build excitement for basketball. Rick Barnes used to ride a golf cart through the IPTAY parking lots at football games. Cliff Ellis used to play a guitar. I have never seen Brad do anything similar.

I guess our offer of $3 million a year didn’t make it to Izzo’s desk.

Otherwise I’m sure he would’ve taken it.

I'm lost. What happened to Brownell? I know... Someone must have said something about izzo or whatever. I think this team is going to shock some people.
I was on the fire Brad list for awhile but after reviewing Neffs comments and our bball situation with money etc, I'm willing to give Neff a chance to show we're serious about bball winning.
There's a lot of good about Brad. I think we'll see some good results. The proof will be in the recruiting and development of the Jimmy and Joes.

but I sure don't see it. We don't have many NCAA teams in our history, but this team has one guy who could have started on some of them, and he's hurt.

He signed a 5 year deal. If you are going to be a clown troll, at least do it factually.

I have tremendous respect for you as a poster and admire your enthusiasm for all Clemson sports. Wish I shared your feelings about this season. I think it is going to be the opposite. We lack depth and, even if healthy, we lack experience. Our lack of a true point guard will also be challenging against conference play. I think we’re looking at one of Brownell’s worst seasons as a coach. I don’t think it matters because the administration has telegraphed a two year commitment to the new staff. It isn’t a coincidence that they stopped working the portal the second the new assistants two year deals were done. They’re going to develop the talent on hand best they can then augment via the portal for the contract season. Unfortunately we’re probably stuck with Brownell until someone else is dumb enough to hire him.

I thought we had the best coach Clemson could ever hope for? We’re elite in the European club basketball circuit.

Cal signed a “lifetime” 10 year contract a few years back so mark him off list as well. UK fans not overly happy with him though, Rupp Arena with empty seats, General malaise from the fan base.
