Would you say improvement in recruitment of our Oline players

Aug 5, 2017, 11:44 AM

and their playing like big boys in big games over last several years was the reason Clemson football started winning (plus gifted coaches) after so many years of relying on superior skilled & fast players who simply didn't get it done due to weak Oline play (in particular).

What knows you?

I for one am glad you are stopping. You are one of the most ignorant posters ever. You obviously think very highly of your own opinion, unlike the rest of us - RockHillTiger

Yes,

It's what got us winning the bigger games consistently. We are recruiting better at o-line each year that goes by, so that really helps. I rewatch the Tajh days and get a little sick at how bad the O-line was at times.

No.

While we have grabbed a few highly ranked olinemen we still haven't been consistent at the point of attack and still don't blow dlines off the ball.

The biggest difference is the horses we have been landing and developing on the defensive line. Our defensive line dominance has put us exactly where we are as a program these days. Not to mention a once-in-a-lifetime QB under Center.

hard to argue against the oline recruiting stars

Aug 5, 2017, 12:36 PM

the problem is, we still should be getting much better talent on oline coming off the back2back title appearances

i honestly figured we'd be going through a bama-type situation of turning most ppl down. i havent seen that as far as oline

Yes, along with the multiple facility upgrades

Our Oline has definitely improved, but its not as strong as our recruiting at other positions. We seem to be able to pass block really well, but we do not always run block particularly well against quality D fronts until we wear them down late in games.

Hiring and keeping great coaches has been huge too.

For relaxing times, make it Suntory time

yep and we may offer more OL than planned. TB would never have done that. He always signed the fewest possible

I'd give more credit to the defensive improvement under BAB and the big time ability of DW4.
