Would you help your dad?

Aug 1, 2017, 10:31 PM

I say most of you would. This has got to be a gut wrenching decision for KJ. A lot of pressure on a 17-18 year old kid.

Now as a father, would you want your kid to make his decision based on your future? I say most would back up and say "this is your decision, I'll be fine".

Best of luck to KJ and I hope he's a Tiger!

As much as I would love to help my dad, you also have to realize that in 3-4 years, he will be jobless. Have to think about long term, not short term. An injury could end KJ's potential earnings, so then what does the family do?

A better question is what Dad would use his son to get a leg up. If he believes he is DI material he needs to put his name out there, not rely on his kid to use his future to give him a leg up. This reeks of "Dads Idea". If he can't find a DI job it's probably because he's not ready!

KJ dad isn't using him and hasn't had any intention of

KJ helping him. I can assure you His dad is a man of character and the statement KJ made in the winter about unc not offering his dad a job had nothing to do with his dad but about how people at high school(unc fans) and unc coaches offering him had talked to him just after they hired a coach about he should take care of his state and play ball in NC.

He answered without his dad that they should have offered his dad the job because he lived in the state if they were pro NC. Nothing more has been said about it. It had nothing to do with how much they love Clemson.
