If we could still make the playoff, it was regular season, and not to the coots, definitely yes.

For me to say yes to the question, I would have to admit that I don't respect or appreciate all the hard work that our FB players and the coaches put in from the time they played their last game of the previous season just to win every game they play the upcoming season. Brad needs to find a system that allows his players to out work, out game plan, and out play their opponents the same the FB guys do without the fan base being willing to give up anything the FD team works their butt off for!!! NO, I would not in anyway shape or form give up a FB win for 20 basketball wins!!!

Even though that's not how sports works and the general premise of your question is completely delusional....no.
I would never be willing to trade football wins for any other sport. I don't watch basketball and I could care less about it.

Would you be willing to give up one year of basketball to get a coach who would go to the NCAA tournament 3 out of every 4 years. This question has the same principal of operation as the one above.

If I could pick the wins. One I would pick would be the national championship. I could not pick a loss to surrender, so I would be at the mercy of who controls fate if fate is controlled, as even fate must surely be.

And despite the abstract question, it reveals a truth. If you were to reword the question to ask "Would you be willing to give up $10M that was earmarked for football operations to provide additional funding for basketball?" then we'd likely get the same type of responses.
Clemson is a football school that cares less about other sports. This is why great recruits would rather go to Dayton or Xavier than Clemson. Who wants to be a stud basketball guy with potential for the NBA and be overshadowed by the 3rd string football WR?
Clemson (and its fanbase) are unwilling to invest in Basketball to become a legitimate contender. That's neither good nor bad. It's just the truth.

Lol. Don’t kid yourself. Any school in the country, including Duke, UNC, Kansas or whatever other year in and year out basketball power would trade with our football program. Any school would rather have the football success, revenue, fan support and national brand our football program has. If Duke could be Clemson in football, they would be in a heartbeat. Same with Kansas. Same with UNC. So on and so on. College football has and will always reign over college basketball. End of story. So of coarse the people of tnet are going to respond like they are. That doesn’t mean they Don’t want a good basketball program, don’t care enough about it, or aren’t ready to be a basketball power.

I should celerity if Duke could be Clemson in football and also have a mediocre basketball program like Clemson , they would trade in a heartbeat. Same for the other schools.

Football success isn’t every school’s most burning desire. Duke and UNC wouldn’t trade basketball success for football success. If I were them, I wouldn’t either.

Yes, and the alarming thing is that you don’t believe that. The only reason football isn’t the most burning desire in a school is because it’s not possible for that school to be relevant in football. If UNC and Duke could restart and had a choice to be powers in football or basketball, it really wouldn’t even be a decision. It’s just common sense. Just because you like basketball more than footbawwwwwl doesn’t take away the fact that footbawwwwwl is by far the dominant sport in college athletics.
