Winston

Sep 2, 2013, 11:32 PM

I was not impressed at all. I thought he was mobile but not as tough as tajh . He could throw reasonably accurate but doesn't have tajh's arm strength.

Before we crown gum the next Charlie ward, lets see him actually play a decent d. Pitt wasn't.. Receivers were mostly wide open and he did get all that much pressure. And Pitt is no Death Valley . I mean really.... Dud he hardly get hit much all night? Too easy for him tonight.

He'll be good no matter who he plays.

I agree with you that Winston is very good.

What are we gonna say when Deshuan Watson has a similar type of performance his Freshman year.

Winston is a very good football player. FSU has recruited very well as they always do. They are stacked on the D line.

Geez, give him his credit. He tore up a average like a great player should. He's no Tajh, but he is on that trajectory or better at the moment.

Into what I'm saying. He did good tonight for a first start and I do agree he will be a great qb but seriously, that's not now. I have no doubt he has a future but tonight I'm calling it like I see it. I thought he had wide open recievers most of the night and he didn't face much adversity . When he does then we will know where he is. And I don't care what kind of D Pitt had last year, it wasn't too hot tonight. What I'm saying is tajh is where he is because he worked really hard. Being a great QB takes work, preparation and experience. He is just starting out. Barring injury I think he will be good but still has a ways to go. He doesn't have near the pocket presence of a tajh Boyd . I mean really. Wait til he plays a real team and then ill pat him on the back if he performs but for now, he has a long way to go. But it was a nice start.
