Wins/Loses

Dec 2, 2013, 9:40 AM

I do not post here much but I am today. Here is how I see it. I feel we, as fans and as a University, have got very complacent with just doing a little better than the rest of the ACC. Lets face it. We loose to subpar teams in a sub part conference. I remember the old days when Clemson was "mean". Nasty defense that other teams feared. The days when William Perry picked a running back up and carried him back 10 yards before slamming him down. I remember A coach losing his job and having a better win loss record than our current coach. Ten wins is not enough. Loosing them all and beating USuC is not enough. We are a great team with great talent. We have to hold the coaching staff accounting for the play of the team. They are very well paid people and they should figure a way to win. I know the coaches did not turn the ball over. The players did. But the coaches did call the plays Saturday night. How many times did we take a shot down field? This is just one thing that we have done WELL all year. This is the coaches fault! They coach very predictable. Very easy to game plan for us.

I tell my children all the time to strive to be the best. Reach for the stars... You just may reach the moon. We have to teach these players that there how to win. What it means to when and be great! They much be made tough! Nasty like the days of ole. Make the players do essays on who they most liked to be like for a great player from the past and why!

Just my thoughts

Wow, that will stop the turnovers.

Make the players write ESSAYS! What they need is to learn to protect the ball. To play disciplined football. Teaching that is the coaches job. And it will not happen by writing essays.

it comes down to character,to mental toughness.we simply don't have it.5 straight losses?inconceivable! Did Spurrier invite dabo back to his office for a postgame beer?He should at least put dabo on retainer.

Got to know where you come from to know where you are going! Make them learn what they are playing for! Not just the stats, or records. There was many before them that has made Clemson what it is today. Teach them the history of the program! Make the research the number that they wear of the ones before them! Teaches them heart and what they are playing for! Research this coach Larry Gelwix. Watch the movie that was inspired by his coaching style. There has to be something to this.

Other than your mistakes, typos, and other errors I couldn't disagree more!!!!!
When you achieve perfection I will reevaluate my stand. Until then I will be All IN and keep cheering my team as they continue to make progress towards that perfect season. This year we were about 10 mistakes away, that is almost as good as your post.
