The issue is prior to the season most, if not all (including myself), assumes we could afford one lost and still get in. After The atrocious play of the other ACC teams I’m convinced (along with others) that we are no longer afforded that luxury. We’ve made the playoffs 3 yrs in a row and had “ugly losses” in 2 of those seasons only to be offset by a schedule with some meat on the bone. Assuming there’s 3 spots for several one-loss teams were likely to be in the “first out” category. Let’s just hope we don’t have a “wth” game.

Yup, we lose 1 game this year and finish among a group of 1 loss teams and it is VERY likely we are standing at the altar as a jilted bride. SOS is gonna matter at that point and unless some miracle happens and the rest of the ACC gets really good we get left out. A 1 loss UGA gets in over us, 1loss PSU/tOSU, 1 loss OU or WVU,heck even a 1 loss PAC-12 . Hope the coaches recognize this and keep them playing with focus and intensity for all 12 games.

You must be Nostradamus reincarnated to predict all of that. The only thing we control is how we play every week. Everything else is out of our control. Why continue to worry about this stuff only 4 games into the season?!
