Real Clemson(TM) knives, American made

Apr 17, 2021, 5:32 PM
DSCF3022.JPG(95.6 K)

I have some Clemson (trademarked) knives made in USA by Schrade over 30 years ago, brand new in sleeve with warranty from Schrade.

I did an extensive write up and picture for Tigernet yesterday, but am unable to find the ad. I totally apologize if I am putting this in the wrong place. Please, if this is not the proper place to post, suggest the place that is best and I will happily comply. Thanks for your forbearance with a new user.

Not posting the usual price, etc., as I do not wish to be impolite if this is the wrong place to post.I put it in the memorabilia section, but do not encounter it yet. However, since the orange Victorinox Swiss Army knives were discussed here, it is my hope this post is not too out of kilter. Here is a picture, just in case you like Clemson Stuff!

Hi,
This is Phil Allen, in Clemson.
These are brand new, Schrade+ steel, made in USA about 1990, before the company moved the plant overseas. It is a high carbon stainless. I am asking about the 1990 MRSP- $25. I would sell quantities of 10 a bit cheaper. I would prefer to meet, if you are interested at Patrick Square, or Clemson Lowes--close to me. I have not given any thought to mailing, what extra that would entail, etc. and would prefer to meet here in town, They have a less-than 3" blade, makes them legal carry in most municipalities.

I would like to post a full ad, like I had written up, but must have not done it correctly. Looking at the board carefully, seems like Amphitheater would be a good place to post, but I am not sure about the rules and do not want to offend the Tigernet folks.

Schrade made very few of these. They made them for 7 schools, incl. Ga., Al, Tn--all here in the SE.
They have a lanyard hole--strongly advise you use it, if you get any of these knives. All are in original sleeve with limited lifetime warranty from Schrade, but that is between you and them. I have never had one fail though.

I usually gift them to exceptional students I meet, but lost my CU Ring, and now I think time to sell some. Rings cost a lot, nowadays!

You can email direct at amoperu@bellsouth.net ph 864506 2902, although I am not a big cell phone person and sometimes do not have it, etc.

I wonder if it would be ok to post in Amphitheater? I would do a better write-up. Thanks for writing, P

Thanks for writing, please see the other reply--should answer any questions. I did not mention that they are legit, trademarked knives. Schrade did pay Clemson for the rights.

Did you pay crump for advertising on his website?***

Re: Did you pay crump for advertising on his website?***

Apr 18, 2021, 1:01 PM

No. I would like to gift him a knife, though. I really need to navigate back to wherever I found the "memorabilia" page, perhaps someone can tell this old fool how to do that. They are not from Bangladesh, but made in USA. Part of the "Varsity" series of the SP3 Firebird series--made in NY State.

My apologies for my ignorance of the site, protocols, etc. I have not sold any for about 20 years, when I sold Leonard Keller of the famous downtown store a lot. When I made those replies thought it was going to the folks that asked about them. Orangeburg-someone asked--I lived near there in Olar around 1954.

I did not come here for a shark frenzy, or to circumvent the way the site is set up. My previous experience was just admiring old historic photos of campus, etc.

Seeing how many people here love our School, my feeling was perhaps someone would be happy to see these cool knives. I think perhaps 500 were made, but really am not sure of that.

I am very open to any positive suggestion about how to properly comport myself here. Also, would rather meet people in person so they know what they are buying. My apologies to Mr. Crump if there has been a transgression. Perhaps I should just shut up and leave the knives to my heirs.

Thank you,
Go Tigers!

To your knives. I feel these knives are the utmost of memorabilia and can reserve a seat of honor at all fans’ memories. They belong in historical places for display or can be used for cutting fruit at a brunch consisting of men friends. Please to send me a case and upon receipt I shall review and have my manservant send you a wire immediately for the purchase total plus another $5000 for your trouble.

Jah bless

Brad Brownell: Only Larry freaking Shyatt has a WORSE overall winning percentage among Clemson basketball coaches since 1975. Let that sink in. It's Larry Shyatt & then Brad Brownell.
