Will having Potter on the roster hurt us with QB prospects.

Dabo & Co. are much more likely to rely on Potter's leg than risk going for it on 4th down when in no man's land (the area between the 35 and 45 yard lines). This more conservative approach could negatively impact our QB stats. In fact, don't be surprised if we kick the FG on third down in certain situations. Sometimes it's better to get the guaranteed 3 points than risk a turnover.
Hopefully the coaching staff has considered this.

I think our QB prospects have hurt our Punter prospects. Think about it. If anything, that Deshaun punt from last year has hurt our Punter recruitment up to this point. I mean, we're stuck with a coach's son for that.

Kick holders. That way they can throw on trick plays on third and fourth down to Christian Wilkins. QBs stay happy, more elite qb talent comes to Clemson just to throw fancy special teams tds, and Wilkins has sooo many td receptions this year he decides to come back for his senior year to cross train as the first ever WR/DT hybrid.
It would be a win-win-win.
PROBLEM SOLVED!

I understand Dabo and his staff have devoted many hours discussing the questions some have raised here. It is my understanding they have petitioned the NCAA to immediately alter the rules so that a kickoff that goes through the uprights will count as a field goal. However, this creates another problem, if the kicker continues to kick off through the uprights, no time on the game clock will have elapsed and the overall length of the game becomes a problem, particularly when the game is on national television. Dabo and staff have submitted one possible answer to this problem. No more than five consecutive kickoffs that go through the uprights can be counted as field goals. The sixth kickoff will automatically be placed at the 25 yard line of the receiving team. Another concession offered by Dabo and staff, all of the Tiger extra point attempts will be from the 25 yard line of their opponents. Knowing the NCAA has the wisdom, foresight and strict adherence to fairness and impartiality, we can expect a rapid and positive response to Dabo's requests.
