It's ok.. Frankly when I saw that I said the same thing. Fact is that Dabo for years has preferred to go Safe rather than for the Big return. He has even spoken of that a time or two. Focus is to just catch it, usually Fair Catch, and let the offense do its thing. Bigger issue this year is that the thing the offense is doing is kinda ugly.

with some regularity years ago, I'll take a great consistent fair catcher. Muffing a punt is one of those "sudden change" momentum plays that you NEVER want to have happen to you.

never did get that. Only other option we have would be a DB back there. Taylor was the guy and now he's out. You'd like a guy who has that quick start. DB's normally have that. Brown does to an extent. He had a decent return against BC. He's not afraid to actually return it and they trust him most to catch it right now

It's mainly a job for those who can catch the ball these days. Renfrow is the Raiders punt returner ya know.
