Dabo bet on DJ going pro and Cade being the guy in 2023. Now imagine Dabo is still saying DJ is the guy going forward, Cade announces he's going to TCU or Oklahoma. Vizzina decommits and flips to Auburn. On national signing day DJ announces he's transferring to wherever his brother goes. What would Dabo do at this point? Gonna play the year but the way he handled the QBs this year will have directly resulted in this domino effect. Would he swallow his pride and go to the portal?

Auburn was saying the same about Bo Nix. I could see DJ getting promised a crack at Oregons job if nix leaves and they want Matayeo bad enough.

I think he would. I imagine alot of pressure is on Dabo right now and more will come during the off season. We have a new AD that wants success. We have plenty of boosters that want success.
If a doomsday scenario were to occur, the path of least resistance is for Dabo to go to the portal and make a statement along the lines of learning to change with the evolving landscape of football.
The other option (admitting he was wrong about coaching hires and making changes there) would be too much after just 1 year with his promotions in place.

Dabo has already walked back some stances so I could see the speech about going to the portal. Question is who would be available at that point and would they want to come to Clemson.
