Why would any conference wish for Penn St.?

I don't get that at all. Not that they don't have tradition but they also tarnished their image to the point that it'll take years for it to recover. Why would the ACC or anyone else want to be associated with this image ? Surely there are better fits at this point . The ACC might not be the strongest in football but they do have a reasonably decent institutional image compared to Penn St. IMO.

The Sandusky scandal is fading. It may have tarnished the schools image but it won't be that way forever.

Because they are a huge school and a huge fan base. We would take them in a heartbeat.

UCF? ECU? Navy? WV? UCONN?
WV, and PSU are the best football teams left if you want to add market value to the ACC. ECU and UCF are good football schools but bring nothing to the conference value wise especially considering they will be the little brother in their own states. And UCONN is terrible at football and only claim to fame is beating USuCk in the Pizza Bowl a few years back. Navy would be decent addition with gaining the DC market back after the departure of MD, and a decent national following, but don't offer the national brand and following as a PSU or WV.

PSU is a national brand and would be great for TV ratings. They also have the type of academics the ACC prides itself on.

My choice would be Navy followed by Penn State.

Of cuse and BC. Would never be above Penn on travel. Football would be a heck of a conf with this.
