Why the new confidence about beating FSU?

Why do the writers and fans not think this is a coin toss based on how we’ve played? Is FSU that bad? I haven’t seen them play so maybe- but nothing has been easy game wise so far for us this season. We still have 15 scholarship players out.

With FSU's talent level and confidence level rising each week, they should not be underestimated. The two teams appear to be on two very different trajectories right now. I'd be thankful for an ugly win at this point.

Because they suck and we may suck less. We're at home. We should win the game. Would anyone be shocked by a loss? I doubt it. I think we win though. 31-20 By the way, the over/under on Clemson's total pts is 28.5. I would never feel confident betting the over even with my prediction.

Its sad, but the offense could not find that many points if it was given to them. I also predict a tiger win but given the history and trajectory of this season. I have the margin of victory around 4 points or so. Effectively, a 21-17 type game.

Load up and make a fortune. The O/U is 28.5. If we score 4 TD's you're still a winner. I am going with 31, but as I stated, I would never put my money on that.

Clemson play football this year. BTW there isn't a game on this schedule that isn't a toss up, besides maybe UCONN. The rest of them are pick ems. Its absolutely astounding.

USuC is not a pick um. Their offense is much worse than ours and that is saying something. Our defense is also better.

I don't think that's right. We've played extremely similar defenses.
Clemson:
Scoring Offense: #115
Total Offense: #117
Passing Offense: #111
Rushing Offense: #86
South Carolina:
Scoring Offense: #112
Total Offense: #113
Passing Offense: #92
Rushing Offense: #101
I don't see any justification for saying their offense is much worse than ours. They're both absolutely abysmal, but theirs is probably slightly better. Our defense is better than theirs though.

Which ones would you say are not tossups? Florida State is definitely a toss-up. We'll probably be underdogs against Wake and Louisville. So that just leaves South Carolina. Every one of Clemson's games has been a toss-up outside of SC State. What makes you so confident it's not a tossup against them, especially when they'll be treating this as their super bowl since its their first chance to win in 7 years.

It might be the "maybe" you put in front of UConn lol, even with how bad the offense is playing UConn is absolutely awful and will lose to Clemson by 20+.

Yes we have some players out but we also get some important players back and the offense should be better with them back.

Helll…nothing new for me. I psyched myself up every year in the 90s to think we would beat FSU. Never happened. But it made it fun anyway.
There will always be something special about the FSU game for us old-timers, no matter what.
