I think he didn't do much until his senior year.

I think he plays low-level HS competition. Might see his stock change after some camps.

Not likely as he's a 2022 recruit and camps are done for that class.

He is who he is and opinions by recruiting services won’t

change that.
If our coaching staff likes what they see, that’s going to have to suffice.
They found an under-the-radar guy named Travis Etienne late in the process after the prime RB target jilted us.
This looks to be a similar situation.

At this point, you take who you can get and hope that there's still a few diamonds in the rough.

There could be several reasons.
One possibility with many of these small school athletes is that if they don't attend camps then it is hard for them to get seen by the people making the rankings. I don't know his camp history.
If he did go to camps, he may not perform great in "the underwear olympics" where guys are just measured for speed and strength for the most part. He seems to run with good timing and vision and those things don't really show up well in a camp setting.
Also if he went to camps he could have been a guy that was borderline between 3 and 4 stars but he was not able to move his way up the list during the season due to his weak competition.
He does look physically mature in the picture that is attached to this article. Scouts may think that he dominated because he matured early and that there isn't much room for growth once he gets to college.
All in all, the rankings are generally pretty close and are a good overall representation of what players have top offer, but there are certainly guys who slip through the cracks or who develop in ways that nobody expected.
It's likely that nobody will know for at least a couple of years if this kid was ranked correctly or not because I didn't notice any schools in his recent list that are looking for an immediate impact from freshman RBs.

Why isn't Andrew Paul a 4* or 5* recruit? Because he has no offers from UGA, Bama, Oklahoma, or Ohio State.

immediately, but at some point. That is why kids who get a Clemson offer say they are "blessed" to receive it, even if they don't want to come here. It "raises their draft stock" coming out of high school, so to speak, because it focuses future attention on them as a worthy player.

That is slow. Jeez. On the other hand, that's about what Maurice Clarett ran.

I personally think he flew under the radar an had a come out season. I know he may have played against lesser opponents but to still put out those stats is unbelievable. I came from a 3A school in South Carolina and the opponents we faced were as tough as they come. On was a little 2A school named Lamar. I got hit by a player named Levon Kirkland and saw stars for two days afterwards. Then we ended up playing baseball against them and he ran the bases like the played football, don’t get in his way…….
With that being said you cannot always judge a player from the size school he played at.
Go Tigers!!!!!!

I feel you. I once got hit by someone named Harold Greene. I think I flew 10 yards in the air and another 10 on the ground.

and I played against some great talent. some you may have heard of. their names were alshon jeffery, and Martavis Bryant. The QB from Jeffery's calhoun county team, can't remember his name, but he ended up playing at Georgia Tech. I also played against Mark Cann, the QB from Landrum that went to Marshall. I had never seen a REAL QB up until that point. I think that was my freshman or sophomore year. I watched him sling one 60 yards without much effort. blew my 15 year old mind lol.
as far as Alshon jeffery, they beat us by about 10 points or so, but we were beating them and then that QB and Jeffery took over and ran away from us. Martavis played for a terrible calhoun falls charter school at the time, but he did take a punt 90 yards to the house against us.
there are good, even great players from small schools but unless they are freak of nature, once in a generation athletes like Dequan Bowers, then they are gonna have a harder time adjusting. unlike a kid who plays 6a football in texas or georgia.
