That is what the head man says, sad really. You can admit that your game plan was taking apart by a potential 4-8 team that can't beat a MAC team but can outscheme the perennial ACC champs. I think that is what most of the fans want - taking ownership of the problems and admitting the game plan deficiencies.

yeah no doubt. His entire press conference might as well have been "well, GT showed us some things we didn't expect and I had absolutely no clue how to adjust or what to do about it. Oh, and we also do only what we practice, we really don't have situational adjustments"

It’s even worse than that. TL would make anyone seem brilliant play calling wise. So Elliot got so cocky and believes his own sales pitch so fully, that he isn’t doing his job very well…can’t DJ throw with any touch? You’ve been coaching him for 2 years?
No adjustments at halftime? Ask Sabin if that would work…
Run some screens for goodness sake - I mean when we play a monster defense like GT.
Standing 5 yards deep in the end zone? Ever see that from a top program? Watson was forced to do the same thing…just poor fundamental thinking and coaching.
Even with ETN we struggled with short yardage situations. I bet we have a better conversion rate at 3rd and 10 than 3rd and 2.
Time for Tony to go be a head coach somewhere and get a more aggressive guy in there.

That is what I have been saying. There appears to be no fallback plan on offense. You run the same scheme for 4 quarters whether it is working or not. Veneables makes adjustments game time and at the half. Not so on offense.
