Is This The ACC?

Is This The ACC?
When the Atlantic Coast Conference expanded to include Syracuse, Pittsburgh and Notre Dame I was under the assumption that men's basketball would benefit the most at the expense of football.  However, the first year of the new conference has been the opposite.

Good post. I don't think Pitt and Syracuse should get credit for the ACC being decent in football, but I'm with you, I wanted football schools. I was thrilled to hear about Louisville and Notre Dame. Syracuse has acted in a strange manner since joining the conference, don't you agree?

the one and done thing in hoops has hurt college ball and in particular the ACC elite teams.

N. Dame will be in the ACC-CG within the next 10 years. They will do this by going 5-0 vs ACC teams.

It's a much easier to get a bowl bid than a bid to the NCAA tournament in basketball.

Really it is more comparable to use the post season as a whole in both sports. No one cares about the Birmingham bowl or the NIT but both accept .500 teams. The biggest differences is 64 teams get onto the big stage in basketball and only 12 in football.
