Why Feaster chose U of SCjr

Jul 29, 2019, 8:38 PM

"Tavien Feaster will work closely with South Carolina running backs coach Thomas Brown and offensive coordinator Bryan McClendon during his one season in Columbia.

The two coaches have helped produce several talented running backs who have gone on to have successful NFL careers, including Melvin Gordon, Todd Gurley and Nick Chubb..."

"...Feaster’s former teammates took to social media to offer support for his decision to transfer to Clemson’s rival — South Carolina. Star wide receivers Tee Higgins and Justyn Ross, as well as Etienne, commented on Feaster’s Instagram post wishing him well.

“All of those kids down there are great kids. … Tavien formed a brotherhood with them. ... I wouldn’t expect anything less,” Terrance said. “They’re great kids and they understand what’s going on. That’s all that matters.”

They left off they are very experienced with losing and that is something Feaster doesn’t understand yet. They should help his transition very smoothly at understanding what it’s like to lose multiple games in a year. After that, the closeness will continue when they go enter the workforce and look for jobs together as another common thing they share is average football ability.

Hopefully Feaster stays in contact with our guys on social media this year so he can ask about New Orleans again while sharing his trip to Steveport La.

Would undoubtedly have a different attitude. I think this says a lot about the state of affairs in the two programs right now.

I think it comes down to this. It's a much easier drive for his mom and dad to watch games going to Columbia vs Blacksburg.

I think it's no more complicated than that.

OK, now we've heard from Feasters former Clemson teammates...I want to hear the interviews with the current RB's on the coot team.

I want someone to ask them how they feel about fewer carries their final season. I want to hear Bentley talk about a more balance running attack with fewer passing opportunities.

Bentley might be happy with fewer passing downs - fewer opportunities for him to get hurt.

I don't

I couldn't care less what their opinion of this is. Are you feeling sorry for them? Their top 3 RB's are all seniors and have had plenty of opportunity to nail down the starting job - so far nobody's done it.

Thanks for sharing.

I only wish a number of TigerNet members had the same level of empathy for the young man.
