Really? Is this worth posting about? It's a nickname, for Pete's sake!! To keep from having to say the full name. Like, for instance, the nickname for somebody named "D***A**" might well be DA, for any number of reasons.
You must really have Clowney on the brain. I never wondered once why Hopkins is called Nuk. But now that I think about it, isn't a Nuk a pacifier?

I've heard that one too. Lot's of us have multiple nicknames. Somebody named William can be Will, Willie, Willy, Bill, Billy, etc. When you understand that some folks make names up from scratch, the idea that imaginative nicknames might be invented from those names hardly seems far fetched, does it?

My name isn't William, and I didn't say that it was. That was an example. I'm "smart" enough not to use myself. And nicknames can be derived a lot of different ways, not just first and last initials.

it on TV during Clemson games. Nuk was a nickname Deandre Hopkins has had his whole life. Being called Nuk as your nickname is a whole better than being called doo doo. The nickname fits. He is a shamecock, and like most shamecocks he has more in common with human feces than he does the human species.

Just think its a little strange that we are all infatuated with a player that plays for our rival team and that he is always a hot topic on tigernet. I hope the coots are healthy in November and I hope our team is 100% healthy. I want to beat the brakes off of the gamecocks worse than any other tiger fan.
