25 in Basketball like they do the acc, big east and Big 10 in FB.

There gem, UK is not even ranked.

Oh I forget that's their "bread and butter".

Football is vastly more popular and marketable than basketball.

Let's be honest. Who really cares more than 1/10 about basketball as we do about football? Do you think the networks decide how much to pay each conference based on basketball?

ESPN shows basketball only as a courtesy to football schools

Let's be honest, if ESPN thought there was any money in basketball, they'd be going hard after broadcast rights to the NCAA tournament. Basketball is way down their priority list and I suspect they pay attention to it only as a concession in contract negotiations.

I hate to admit it but I sometimes forget that we have a basketball game, I'll be more interested when conference play starts. However, I can guarendamtee you I look forward to each football for at least six and half days.
