Why does anyone pay to watch games, when they're all streamed?

With an HDMI chord you can watch any sporting event, from CU football to horse racing, for free on your flat screen. Do older folks not understand this tech or opposed to it? With all the uproar with the ACCN a few weeks ago, it was baffling for younger fans bc we all knew there would be multiple free streaming options.

Go on Bing or duckduckgo and search for cfb streamed games. You'll find multiple options. Livestreamz is just one. Don't use Google bc they hide working results.

Frankly Brady, I'm one of those old guys who'll take any help I can get.
I suppose whether it's illegal - I'm NOT one who thinks those poor old mega-giant behemoth "providers" need all the help they can get.
I for one would love to learn new tricks - old dog or not.

The only thing that’s free is bad advice.
Is an HDMI chord similar to a G- Minor?

Kind of. It's a chord that shows whatever is on your laptop on the screen.

I’m very old. I cast my phone, tablet, or laptop to my tv. Is this HDMI “chord” thing something new? I must be behind on the times.

Don't even bother with an HDMI cord. Just watch on your computer (hopefully you have a least 27 inches).
Let's get real about this weekend: We are playing Charlotte. Charlotte!
Do as suggested and get a stream going on your PC monitor. Then 30 mins later turn the TV on and watch ND vs. UGA along side.
Double-screening is mandatory this Saturday for those of us without the ACCN.

By the way, still having cable is far from wise. It's like buying CDs. It's cool and all, but unnecessary.

Call people old farts and get mocked. Simple.
Now as far as having cable/dish/pay streaming being unwise, so is stealing.

If they are providing access to espn, accn, secn etc outside of a broadcasting contract with those networks, it is 100% illegal.

Ive tried some streaming before mostly on reddit/cfb. I found it had a ton of popups and some of the more obscure games did not have a stream listed.
I like watching all kinds off football, not just what is on the main espn. I also like not worrying about finding a stream and just turning on my tv.
I also worry about the potential for virus. What do you do to mitigate that risk.

A lot of these pirated free sports streams is crap quality. Many of the streams are unreliable, lots of buffering, pixelated crap that looks horrible on anything bigger than a cell phone screen. Furthermore, a lot of these sites want you to install their software in order to get the stream - say hello to malware.
If that kind of thing floats your boat for free - have at it. As for me, I'll gladly pay for a reputable, reliable, hi-def quality stream of my Tigers playing football.
