Yeah, Penn State just doesn't seem to mesh that well with the B1G identity. They definitely align better with the East coast-oriented ACC mix, but the revenue difference is a non-starter, at least as it stands today.

the thought stems largely from the manner in which Penn State were treated by the BIG following the whole Jerry Sandusky child molestation scandal.

Penn state is so big ten they started an unprofitable hockey team and are spending millions on the mens and womens teams .Penn state is pretty much a public ivy . It’s in the aac. It’s the head institution of their cooperative learning program and presidents love that stuff. Yes the Sandusky scandal made both sides mad and for good reasons . But no, Penn state was never seriously going to leave for the acc .
