Why didn't Duggar run out the grounder?

Any effort at all he would have been safe at first. I know he limped toward first after the play was over, but looked fine in the outfield the next inning. Total lack of effort. Can you say prima donna? I would have sat him for the rest of the game. Is this symptomatic of our team?

Obviously people like you are the ones who ALWAYS let their feelings be known, and are a HUGE part of the issues with this baseball team. Apparently you know nothing about Clemson baseball, Steven Duggar, or turf fields. When Duggar started to run out of the box he could not turn on the turf like he could a dirt base path. Steven Duggar is one of the absolute LAST student-athletes at Clemson who you need to refer to as a "prima donna." Duggar hustles every game, and if you knew anything about this baseball team you would know that.He runs hard on the bases, he has many stolen bases in his career, he is one of the most consistent players on the team, and he goes all out in the outfield. Why don't you try supporting this team instead of bashing everything they do and try to show them support.

Steven Duggar is exceptional athletically and academically. Incredible work ethic and many other traits that I could list for you. I can speak to this because I taught him for three years and have known him and his family since he was in 6th grade. Fantastic people....good people. Prima Donna nah. You calling him out on a run to first? One run doesn't define him or his career at Clemson. Wow.

in the turf and maybe rolled his ankle. I can only assume after his stumble, he thought he was out by a mile and didn't realize the ball had been mishandled.
