You guys have the #1 team in the nation. They are undefeated. Hopefully, this weekend your QB will win the Heisman. Yet, this board is a litany of posters looking for something from ESPN, Fox, Las Vegas, OU or Doogie Dolphin toget upset about. News flash! Your football team doesn't need to feel dissed to play well! Trying to manufacture bulletin board material where it doesn't exist shows a lack of faith in your team.

The fact we have beaten better teams than OU, are undefeated, and coasted to a 40-6 victory last year over the same team minus one offensive coordinator and a Texas Tech reject QB, yet we are a 4 point underdog to a team we owned last year and every other pundit on the planet is picking us to get blown out by a team that couldn't even beat an awful Texas team.
And the fact that everyone thinks OU is good because they beat three teams (OkSt/Bay/TCU) that have zero defense and were all playing with their 3rd team QB is just mind numbing.
Best of luck in the game. We'll see if your lucky horse shoe has any life left in it.

A 2 point conversion and an off sides call equals a TD AND a 2 point conversion which equals:
TWO CLEMSON LOSSES!!!
So, by that logic, a TCU extra point EQUALS a 10-2 spooner team and NO CFP SEMIFINAL GAME...
RIGHT?!!?!?!?

You make some good points. Unfortunately, OU has to play whoever is across the LOS from them. I would suggest, though, that a betting line of -4 hardly denotes a potential "blowout". Once again, hyperbole indicates a lack of respect for your own team.

We are an underdog to a #4 ranked "name brand" team. We have done nothing but win and have done so without rest for 10 weeks all while getting everyone's best shot.
OU getting the -4 is just insulting. I can't wait to watch the pundits eat so much crow. I certainly hope you and your OU friends decided to come visit after the game is over. I will be handing out "I told you so's" left and right. They are free and you can pick it up after the game.

Here is an interesting hypothetical I heard on Sports Talk radio by a guy pimping an 8 team playoff. He postulated that it would be more likely for people to clamor for 8 team playoff if all the teams had at least one loss. Using Clemson as an example he said they couldn't afford to lose one game this year because if they had they wouldn't be a top 4 team even with the ACC title because the conference was weak with a 2-loss FSU, he must have been an ND homer because he went off on total yards, time of possession, Watson only with 80 yds etc about how ND was the better team and if they played the game 10 times ND would win 8 of them. Yeah ok - but I thought it interesting the concept of being a dominant 1 vs a one-loss and how thin the margin is in the playoff.
Anyway, I don't really get it either, they have been 1 since the poll came out, the people talking about them dropping are the same ESPinners that buried OU after their loss, the have their Heisman QB, coach of the year, and Lombardi finalist. They probably throw all this drama off because they know how close they were to heading back to the Russell Athletic bowl, and two because even in the BCS era they were never this close so in reality they are nervous as hell.
Their fundamental argument on why their team will win comes down to Cole Stoudt and the Big12 sucks.

I looked at LT about a year ago and saw it is populated by teenage shut-in losers who want to live in their momma's basement but she won't let them so they live in their Kia and suck up all the bandwidth at Starbucks. They aren't quite as bad as Roll Bama Roll on SBN, where a bunch of redneck Bama fans (I know, I know) sit on their keyboards and talk about each other's ##### all day.
