Pretty darn good player but I get the feeling he's a fallback for Clemson in case we lose Jerrion Ealy to Major League Baseball.

If this kid visits and becomes serious about Clemson, he'd have a spot regardless of Ealy. Ealy isn't a sure thing to play football. Williams is a very good RB, that happened to bloom late.

From what I have read he is as good as anyone out there, very underrated. But I would hope with the stable of backs that we have we wouldn't just take a guy to fill a roster spot. lyn-j is only a freshman and we have 2 coming in next year so no need to just take a body to have a body. The tape of DJ is awesome, I know having been a coach for over 25 years that when you make a highlight tape of a kid thats just what you do his highlights, but elusiveness, speed, ability to go north south and toughness is something you can actually see on tape. Also, if you really want to get a good look at someone, gather tape from some of his opponents and watch that to see if he is as good as his tape shows. Just my way of doing it, but it has it's benefits.

Watching DJ on tape reminds me of a very good players from years ago in Ira Hillary and CoCo Hilary from Strom Thurmond high school. Ira played for the Coots and Coco had many of the big plays when App St beat Michigan. He definitely can play for us.
