This is just stupid.

If the game was being played at one of the Death Valleys it would have a small amount of relevance. But this is just stupid.
Clemson better TM the phrase "The Real Death Valley" or "The Original Death Valley" so ESPN doesn't buy it for LSU.
I can't wait until the antitrust suit is filed against ESPN. They are drunk with power.

Agreed. It's at a neutral site. That's just an idiotic statement. Clemson had the name first. You can't say if Clemson loses they lose their original nickname. I will say though if LSU loses they should be forced to be called Deaf Valley again since it's their actual nickname.

I don't see why people care about it so much. It suits LSU better than it suits Clemson. Deal with it.

just the opposite is true

Clemson's stadium actually sits IN A VALLEY. Plus, there is a stone originating from Death Valley, California being used as a integral part of the traditional team entrance.
LSU just has a mispronunciation of a nickname started in the 1980's. That's it.

I'm well aware of the history. I'm also aware of what team people think of when they hear Death Valley.
Honestly I don't care either way, but the fact that fans get so overly defensive about people referring to LSU's stadium as Death Valley implies that they know most people think LSU when they hear Death Valley.

"Death Valley" is a stadium nickname more strongly and longer attributed to Clemson than anywhere else.....The fact you chickens are on here claiming otherwise is proof of the point.

Clemson IS the only Death Valley. Anything else is an imitation and as they say - imitation is a form of flattery. It sure looks like LSU wants to be "like" Clemson. They need to keep working on it - not to mention - raise their SAT scores about 300 points. Clemson ranked 68 LSU ranked 134.
