Who saw the spring game?

Sep 26, 2021, 12:38 PM

How would you compare DJ’s performance then vs now?
How about Dj vs Taison’s?

7 out played him. I've actually been worried about the offense since that day

I wondered because surely these issues didn’t just surface over night. Bewildered that TP hasn’t been given a chance in the face of this dreadful offensive performance.

I saw that game and, without question, TP won the game for his squad. He took over on the last possession and drove his team downfield to the goal line where he suffered his Achilles injury. He was razor sharp on that drive and left no doubt in my mind that he was the best QB on the team. I can’t believe he recovered from that injury so quickly. Perhaps he hasn’t and Coach S is afraid to play him a lot. We don’t know that. I have a good friend who has a son who attended the same Academy that TP did in Connecticut and his high school coach told himTP would be an NFL player.
I have watched him closely and he is an impressive player. I do hope that we get to see him before he leaves. AND he will because he will PLAY for someone.

I was at the spring game and Taison was the better QB. What I saw at the spring game is what I am seeing now. Dabo and Elliott both have said the DJ is their QB and they are sticking with him.

Yep. All have admitted that DJU had mechanical issues from the get. Just I sorta explained it away as a controlled scrimmage and obviously wasn't concerned because both TE and Dabo came out with high praise... Coupled with the fact the two games he played last year. Funny how the media engine roared and put DJU on Heisman watch etc etc. Figured they knew more than what my limited sample was seeing.

I have been worried also since spring game and all the nil commercials this summer. Remember the transfer portal is a cry baby way out when their feelings get hurt. If they put tp in first stop for dj will be portal. He does not seem to be a team player

I think it's too early to label him as not being team player

Sep 26, 2021, 1:16 PM

I see no evidence of that.

Tony has had two dual threat QBs and his plays worked ok with them bc of how talented those two QB's were. DJ has a very live arm, and he can hit receivers down field if he has time to make his progression, but he doesn't, DW4 and Trevor had to depend on their legs to buy them the time that they needed to complete down field passes. Truth is, DJ can barely get away from 315 D Lineman, and Tony can not scheme receiver routes that DJ can throw to in just a few seconds. DJ Uiagalelei is a good, and talented QB, but he isn't in anyway shape or form a true Dual threat QB, and the same plays in the same old A$$ play book is not suited for a QB that's DJ's size, and as slow as DJ is, and it is just that plain and simple!!!
