its a completely legit take and worth asking. Is it true, who knows but worth discussing. Football is a game of emotion....X's and O's matter, but players make (or don't) plays and sometimes it takes the consistent aggression.

This is very true with any organization. Companies often take on personality of CEO, Army units their commanders, etc.
In all of my years in the military it always shocked me how quickly a unit's mentality could change after a change of command. My first Battery Commander (Artillery unit) was a hard charger to say the least. West Point grad (Football player), Ranger, first assignment in 82nd Airborne)and he drove us hard. He chaptered 30 soldiers in a year for being overweight. We we razor sharp. Then the next commander came in he was totally the opposite. Laid back, just delegated all he could and the unit got soft, lost that edge.
So yes, leadership, personality really do matter. Is that an issue for Wes, only time will tell

I have seen it in business as well, and I have heard people say that a facility will take on the personality of the manager. My experience has been that the facility, or team or organization, will take on the personality of it’s leader and that is not always necessarily the manager or coach. This is why I’m glad to see DJ become a more outspoken and obvious leader and I also think for the defense maybe it is time for Coach Eason to step to the forefront motivationally. This defense would excel if they could assume his mentality. Either way, I am confident they will figure it out. Go Tigers!!

They're the guys who are with their position groups. Shouldn't you be calling out Eason and Reed? It's their position groups that have been identified as struggling.
The DC is planning, or attempting too. You're basically saying unless he's a madman on the sidelines he can't be effective by this take.
