Who makes the bigger Heisman splash next year?

Dec 11, 2018, 1:29 PM

As much as I love the idea of ETN getting the love,
the fact is most times a QB wins.

TL will be talked up all year from game one on.
Especially after he leads us to a NATTY this year as a Fr.

It will be great though to have 2 Tigers finishing in the
top 5 for the Heisman. Go TL and ETN!!!!

Because of our rotation philosophy ETN will not be top three

However, it is how we get to this time of year and not have any RB's miss significant time with injury.

I really think (hope) that the judges have more insight than that. My problem is that looking at Trevor Lawrence and Travis Etienne, I feel that they both deserve it. INMHO, both the best in the nation at their respective positions. Ouch.

How cool would it be to have 2 out of 3 invited?

Dec 11, 2018, 1:48 PM

That would mean we had a GREAT year

Still, a painful dilemma. The two best players in the country, hounded very closely by several other players on our team. Incidentally, our incoming recruiting class looks great.

Don't mean to be negative, but I'm not much on the Heisman. It's basically a joke award that's about as screwed up as any can be. It only counts for the "Heisman Trophy Trust" which now controls it & a reason for over-hyped ESPN TV shows.

Like Dabo said, "If Deshaun Watson didn't win it - and SHOULD have won it TWICE - ain't nobody from Clemson ever gonna win it."

Read my inside story - all facts - on the award posted today on TNET. Just for the info. (I'm not looking for a TU. Rather you had the facts on what a phony the Heisman is). Find it under - "The Heisman: It's Not "ALL THAT"."

Just like this year, it all depends on how

many carries ETN gets.

He could have won it this year with twice as many carries.

As much as I hate to say it the Heisman is a total joke and ESPN will be hyping up Tua all off season. I would be shocked if he doesn’t win next year. It’s a shame what the Heisman has turned into! But I’d take a natty over a Heisman any day if the week!

Go Tigers!

For them to both get an invite to New York, Clemson would basically have to average about 600 yards of offense split evenly through the air and on the ground every single game. They’d have to basically score 70 every single game. Based on this never happening or even being close before, I’d say it’s unlikeky. ETN will never get the touches to be in the running for a Heisman with TL on the roster. That’s just the truth.
