While it sounds nice most student athletes are registered in places other than where they go to school I imagine. They can vote by mail absentee. So it isnt like in person is the only way they can vote

Eh . . .

. . . it's not really about convenience and the ability to vote anyway. Anybody who cares to take the initiative to vote can find the time to do so, by absentee/mail/early voting if necessary. This is just an advertisement to remind a demographic who may not have otherwise taken the time & initiative to vote, to go out and vote for Biden. All this stiff sounding language about civic engagement - you'd think college athletes were unable to vote before now. "Positive change"? What they mean is: " go vote Trump out."

The B1G hired that black guy from the NFL as its new commissioner. A guy that has never been in any type of college athletic administration. You should listen to the Ohio State radio program & podcast, that’s also on YouTube called Lettermen Row. They hate that guy and I ready to run him off! The first thing he did when he became commissioner of the B1G was to go to every big 10 school and organize a voter registration drive for the athletes!

Think about that a minute. John Swofford retires and ACC hires a guy from the NFL that has never spent one day involved in college athletics to replace John Swofford and the first thing he does is go to every ACC school and take the athletes and organize a voter registration drive. Now does that sound like something an athletic director does or does that sound like a political activist? Like a community organizer? I didn’t know the number one priority for an athletic director was to make sure that all the athletes in the conference are registered to vote.

waiting to see headline "athletes denied right to vote"

after they show up to the closest polling place and are told they cant vote cause it isnt their correct precinct. I would imagine only a handful of players are from close enough to vote in person at their assigned precinct. Someone better be telling them now how to get absentee ballots or mail in ballot for states allowing that. Otherwise, you can mark my words that there will be atleast one article claiming voter suppression over a player not being able to vote cause they didnt know they had to vote in their precint.
