Alabama has pretty much been there before Dabo was hired. Ohio State hasn't really proved anything. Sure they beat us 3 years ago in the semifinals, but they had that game circled on the calendar as "payback" Oklahoma has been ok under Lincoln Riley ,but I think in the next few years with B.V. they will actually start to challenge any of these teams. Georgia is, IMO, is not destined to stay on top as I don't think Kirby can sustain things over the long hall. Sure he is the defending National Champion, but look at what he lost this season to the NFL draft.

Tamu, for example, has ALWAYS had a lot more money than us.

As have many teams with lesser accomplishments.

You can't say the money balance had suddenly shifted, and more importantly you can't say money buys an elite program.

Plus, you have to assume when Nick and Dabo say the current

structure (or lack thereof) of the NIL and transfer portal is NOT sustainable is a valid point. I think it's obvious college football won't survive 5 years with boosters paying $30 million for a recruiting class. Plus there's no evidence to suggest suddenly rich high schoolers are going to effectively transition to pay for play and have their heart in it or that a coach is good enough to keep rich high schoolers motivated, working just as hard as no-money players, and with a sense of team goals. It's going to fall apart sooner rather than later. It cannot be sustainable, and I think that's what many are failing to acknowledge. The, the "sky is falling" folks aren't seeing the forest through the trees.

1. Alabama - This is beyond dispute.
2. Ohio State - 7 Big Ten Titles, 9 New Year's Six Bowl Wins, a National Title (Also an undefeated season in 2012 where they would have beaten Alabama), 85.7% winning percentage in the second best conference in that time
3. Clemson - 7 ACC Titles, 7 New Year's Six Bowl Wins, 2 National Titles, 79.9% Winning Percentage in probably the third best conference throughout that time.

I think 4 and 5 could be any mix of Oklahoma (best overall record and most conference titles of the contenders but no championships and consistent losses in OOC games), UGA (perennially strong team with two national title appearances and one championship), and LSU (two national title appearances, including one 15-0 season where they crushed everyone with a brutal schedule (though some rankings placed them as winning it in 2011 as well). Florida State might have an outside argument given the Winston years.

We're 2-1 versus OSU during this time and we have 2

National Championships as well. OSU was better during Dabo's first few years, but overall we have achieved more including a winning head-to-head record since then. If you look at overall seasin SOS's, schedules have been stronger for us than them as well. It's more than just looking at SOC. Check teamrankings.com for instance.

Thing is, we are right there at the top of the mountain regardless of how you cut it.
