and Clemson doing the same to Dawgs week later. This is what has to happen if the ACC is going to get over the SEC media & on-field dominance.
Do you think Heels can pull off the "upset"?! What say U?

South Carolina has to come out and play shyttie, like they always do first game. UNC has to be inspired to win too.

Yes they do, SCU lost a majority of it's defensive starters

and lack experience at the RB and WR positions. If Gio Bernard was still there, I would say they would definitely beat the coots.

If the game were in North Carolina,I would say the Holes had a chance, but no way,no how do they best the coots in WB on a Thursday niter to open the season. Same for Clemson.I do not think they would win in Sanford Stadium, but will a close one in the Valley. Both UGA,and Clemson's offense will be good, even for an opener. However it's the defenses of both teams that concern me I don't think Georgia will have much, but what will be interesting to see is which Clemson "D" shows;the defense we saw against USC,or the defensethat played lights out in the Dome against LSU.

Well, I'm certainly no defender of South Carolina football,

but unless the Gamecocks completely fail to show, I just don't see UNC beating them in Williams Brice. Season openers are generally viewed as shake-outs, but I think the Tar Holes have a lot more shaking necessary to win.

It'd be a stretch, especially without Gio. I doubt the Holes pull out a win, but anything can happen. . . .

Frankly, though, I'm having a hard time giving a crap about either of those teams. There's still a chance a meteor could level the roach the day before the game and send both fanbases home disappointed. That's what I'm pulling for.

about said meteor, would you kindly inform your Clemson brethren in the Columbia area prior to the event in order for us to beat a hasty retreat for safer environs? Your kindness and generosity will be much appreciated.

The coots will win easily. I detest both teams...cannot pull for either one. If the 'holes win, it helps the ACC. If the coots win, it helps our strength of schedule and RPI.
