Which is better for us: LSU in Peach or OSU in Fiesta?

What are your thoughts? I personally think OSU is better than LSU.
On the flip side, Fiesta would be 75% OSU fans (although that didn't much matter in 2016).

LSU by far. They haven't played a really good defense. You can argue Auburn and florida were good defenses, but not great. The main point though is LSU's defense has looked like garbage for most of the year, and have gotten opportunistic when they needed to. OSU seems to me to be the most balanced team in the nation all year long to this point. Would want to save that one for the Natty.

I'm still not sold on Fields. We haven't seen him play a top tier defense yet. They only thing that would worry me about playing them is if we can't stop the run.

The only way we play LSU in the peach is if they drop to 2 and we stay at 3.

how about we have that discussion when we win the next game, the one after that, and the one after that... then we are ACC Champs and not the team that thought they had it in the bag... Oklahoma and Georgia recently learned that lesson... one game a a time... if we were to get there, I would prefer Atlanta ...

I understand your point but it is a hypothetical where both of the other teams are more likely to have losses than we are. LSU still has A&M and probably Georgia. OSU still has Penn St, Michigan, and their conference championship.
I am a firm believer in the team and coaches not looking ahead. For fans it is entertaining and really doesn't hurt our performance. In some cases it even helps. Some people have had hotel reservations in New Orleans for a year now. (If the hotel hasn't them)

I'm hoping it's Clemson vs LSU in the Peach Bowl Semi-final and then Clemson vs Ohio State in national championship in New Orleans. This could happen if Ohio State is #1 and LSU #2 in the final CFP rankings.

That is exactly what will happen. OSU will have to beat #9 Penn State #15 Michigan & #8 Minnesota. Somewhere along the way those quality wins will vault them over LSU to # 1

I agree with you OSU has a good chance to finish #1 and LSU #2. Nobody is talking about that possibility now.
If Oregon finishes #4, no doubt OSU chooses Atlanta.
If Alabama ends up #4, not sure.

The team doesn't choose. The committee places them with the purpose of not giving the #4 team a geographic advantage. That being said, I think that you are right that the committee would put them in Atlanta for Oregon and Glendale for Alabama.

I think OSU is better than LSU. If LSU wins out we will be playing OSU. OSU wont jump LSU.

I think the committee feels OSU is the "best team" but the strength of schedule difference right now is just too great to keep them there. After they smack Penn State and Minnesota, the committee may feel comfortable returning them to #1.
We'll see.

# 1 team chooses their bowl. LSU would pick peach, OSU would pick peach, Baylor would pick peach, Minn would pick peach, Bama, etc etc. Only way would be if GA is number 4, then #1 would choose Fiesta.
No one wants to go the desert except Oregon and they can’t make it to #1 spot if we are in the playoff.
