That 2018 defence was a huge part in winning our NCG, so I'm going with the 2018 BV D, and the 2014 BV D lost a NCG by 5 points, and the 2018 BV D pummeled what was said to be the best ever Bama team!!!

The 2014 team did not play in the NCG, they played Oklahoma in the Russell Athletic Bowl.

I would have to go with 2018. They held their last two play-off caliber opponents to under 20 points combined without Big Dex.
