He was actually saying "I am very aware that Death Valley is in Clemson, but I want to get all the Clemson people upset because I am a jerk and I think that it is fun." If anything he does us a favor making the comment. It says I am thinking about Clemson and it also fires up the rivalry. He can do us know harm saying something like that.
