Where would Clemson be ranked...

...in the he 1st CFP poll if the Tigers had beaten UNC by 40 and the rest of the games the same?

I think still would have been 5. The ESPN/media narrative regarding Clemson schedule is to strong at this point in the season with number of undefeated still remaining in the preferred conferences.

Everyone has such a short memory. The attention was quickly grabbed by SEC teams in LSU and Florida as soon as we had a close game. They had a fairly high pre season ranking and the second the talking heads saw that shiny object they latched and never looked back. Florida is still overrated. LSU is a good team and easy to latch on to with that coach. We would have stayed number one had we lived up to the ridiculous expectations that were put on us. Our stats are still amazing but the attention is gone for now.

Clemson would be number 1. NC game hurt Clemson more than the ACC being down but that game was a blessing.

Maybe even # 6.......because the way these biased SEC clowns think (yes because really they control and own what the selection committee ultimately decides) if we beat UNCheat by 40 points then they would say this proves the ACC is just that much weaker as a conference.......I am sure they have already had major discussion meetings to come up with the best excuses for the reason their SEC school got beat when Clemson spanks their rearend in the National Championship game again this year because we caught them off guard and unprepared last season.....they will be ready this season when it happens with some dozy of excuses when their team loses to us again.....Go Tigers!!!!!
