...assuming that everyone else in the top ten wins, and Clemson beats Bye U. as well as Michigan did.

Of Course, Clemson would be ranked #1 in the initial playoff rankings if that happened, just like last year. Clemson has a much better strength of record, and strength of schedule than the B1G teams because the teams we beat have winning records. We would have beaten 3 top 25 teams (assuming a W against FSU) and have the second best quality win with the W against Loserville. The best would be TAMs victory over Bama in this scenario. Basically I believe if Bama loses this weekend, and we win out, we pretty much have secured the #1 ranking for the rest of the season. The polls will follow suite just like last year.

just like last year after losing to Ole Miss, the talking heads, especially those from E$ecPN, will proclaim the loss was a fluke and really shouldn't matter or count against them. Bama is still the best team in the country.
