Well, Greenr's summer is officially F*CKED

Mom told me via text this morning that her oncologist told her she shouldn't fly to Colorado (I assumed as much) and she wants to move that trip to next summer. No HUGE issue, just got to figure out how to get money back from AirBnBs and flights. She was paying so it really isn't an option to just go, that was going to be a real expensive trip.
Then about 4 hours later, the guy we rent the OIB house from sent my wife a text that said his son works for Microsoft in NYC and cannot go back to the office until December so he is living at their beach house. He is cancelling all reservations (even though we have paid and been booked since before 2020).
Scrambling to repair all this is going to be stupid. I ain't mad, I'm just disappointed.
May take the beach house money and book a smaller Colorado trip, no Telluride and Moab, just Boulder and Breck.

Graceland, the Cadillac ranch, the beauty of New Mexico.....just stay in Durango and explore from there. It’s a super cool town.

That child could end up seeing the entire US, work Amusement Parks and an alligator farm, and later become a radio sensation and marry the person of their dreams. End up with a better life than what you could have ever given them?

Within about two hours of each other....before my COVID-19 setback, we were on track to make telluride in two days, and York proper is only another 7 hours from here....you could do it in 3 days.
I’d much rather bop around Santa Fe, Durango, Silverton, Ouray, etc than the front range.

We will just fly out there next summer, move the trip a year. Unfortunately, the real negative side is that Mom was supposed to go with us but I am not sure she will still be around next summer and certainly not counting on her being 100% able to go.

we went through St. Louis and out to Colorado Springs. Saw Pike's Peak and a few other things before working our way down through Durango and eventually to the grand canyon. We came back the southern route and hit the attractions along that route on the way back.
After St. Louis there was NOTHING on that route, but Oklahoma and North Texas were nearly equally as boring.

Stretch of nothing you’ll ever do. Just hours and hours and hours of wind farms. And you guys clearly didn’t stop here in Texas!

That is the main reason I like front row though, less responsibilities.
