When it's a crucial drive and Connor Shaw runs on 2nd down

Sep 3, 2012, 11:15 AM

it should be mandatory to get his helmet. This way they backup has to come in on a huge 3rd down play. we all know Shaw is the king of the busted play... someone be assigned to ML and CS and get those helmets off.....thats how you win this year....

Tell me college coaches won't make mention of this...just don't grab the facemask. That rule was not needed and it does nothing but penalize the victim of the hit.... who are these idiots who come up with ways to screw the game up when it's clearly working.

That rule and the kickoff change are both terrible. What was the NCAA thinking?

who said that they think?

they just react, and usually it is a far cry from what is actually going on in cfb.

Yeah, I don't think they considered the large ramifications

this "small" tweak would make. You're talking about a change that goes all the way down to the players you recruit. All of a sudden, a two-quarterback system doesn't look so bad.

Does the rule really increase the players' safety at all?

If a player gets hit so hard to make his helmet come off and he is hurt, its not because of the helmet coming off, its because of the hit, when the NCAA has college football playing flag football maybe they will let us use Orange Flags, Auburn players were trying to pull TB & AE helmets off, if the refs see it NCAA should have a 15 yds PF flag

Rip the QB's head off if that's what it takes to get
